History
Selank was developed in the 1990s at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences under the direction of Academician Nikolai Myasoedov. The compound was designed by adding a Pro-Gly-Pro sequence to the C-terminus of tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), creating a more stable peptide with enhanced neurotropic properties.
